COMPAC Propeller Shaft Bearings
Thordon’s COMPAC propeller shaft bearings are great in blue water applications. COMPAC is a polymer alloy bearing which is seawater lubricated, eliminating the need for oil. Bearing wear is more gradual and predictable than competing materials, and installation and maintenance is easy.

RiverTough Propeller Shaft Bearings
Thordon RiverTough propeller shaft bearings are specifically designed for workboats, pushboats, and tugs operating in dirty water. Vessels operating in the Mississippi River have shown that RiverTough lasts twice as long as rubber bearings. Like all Thordon marine bearings, RiverTough is grease- and oil-free and can be easily installed using a freeze fit or bonding.

SXL Rudder Bearings
Thordon SXL rudder bearings are pollution free and have been installed on over 4,000 vessels. SXL is low friction and self lubricating, eliminating the need for grease. It can also withstand high shock loads and edge loading. The material can be used for both the carrier bearings as well as the pintle and stock bearings.

TG100 Shaft Seals
Thordon TG100 shaft seals are specifically designed for use in vessels operating in dirty water. The seal requires no maintenance and is completely grease free. The TG100 has a unique “get home” feature which allows the propeller shaft to operate even with the emergency seal inflated. Currently, this seal covers shaft diameters of 3.375″ to 12″ (85.725 to 304.8 mm).
