Typical applications: Overhead cranes, steel mills
CDB Brake
PT Tech caliper disc brakes (CDB) are spring applied, electrically released, and conform to the new AISE brake standard. Compared to drum brakes, wear adjustments are less frequent, and far easier when they are required. Installation requires no modification, as the mounting hole pattern matches existing drum brakes.
Torque range: 65 to 6,000 lb-ft (48 to 4,425 Nm)
Typical application: Replaces existing drum brakes on overhead cranes
CU/CX Disc Brakes
Johnson CU and CX Series DC magnetic disc brakes are dust and drip protected, and the terminal box uses an IP55 enclosure. They are used for service duty (CU) or emergency stop duty (CX).
Braking force: 809 to 50,600 lb (3.6 to 225 kN)
Typical applications: Cranes, conveyors, mining, steel mill machinery, nuclear power, oil field machinery
EBN Brakes
Pintsch Bubenzer EBN series drum thruster brakes operate according to the DIN 15435 standard. Bushings are self-lubricating and do not require greasing. A range of thrusters are available to suit your application.
Torque range: 221 to 5,103 lb-ft (300 to 6,920 Nm)
Typical applications: Overhead cranes, mining, steel mills
HCDB Brake
PT Tech hydraulic caliper disc brakes (HCDB) are similar in size to the drum brakes they replace, and the existing hydraulic components remain unchanged. The HCDB is wear compensating, and friction pucks are easy to change when the time comes. Unlike drum brakes, the HCDB provides the same torque per brake in a two-brake system as it does in a one-brake system.
Torque range: 425 to 900 lb-ft (576 to 1,220 Nm)
Typical application: Replaces existing hydraulic drum brakes on bridge drives
K/D Brakes
Stromag K/D series brakes are spring applied and electromagnetically released, providing failsafe braking. Lining wear is automatically compensated for, and brake pads feature a wear indicator. The brakes can be mounted either horizontally or vertically.
Torque range: 35 to 876 lb-ft (48 to 1,188 Nm)
Typical applications: Overhead cranes
KFB Brakes
Pintsch Bubenzer KFB series brakes are spring applied, electromechanically released safety brakes. Class IP67 protection is standard on these brakes. This compact design requires low maintenance and has a high wear reserve.
Torque range: 36 to 1,180 lb-ft (50 to 1,600 Nm)
Typical applications: Gantry cranes, steel mills, wind energy, coal mining
Rail Brakes
